Mount Kinabalu
The time has come and I'm glad that I made it to the top of the Mount Kinabalu. To climb Mount Kinabalu, there are 2 trails that you can use either via Timpohon or Mesilau. To climb the mountain takes 2 days where the first day you have to climb until mid point called Laban Rata, 6km from Timpohon and 8km if you use Mesilau Trail. Both trails has their very own thrills and experiences. The best way is to climb up via Mesilau and go down via Timpohon so you can enjoy both trails.
Mesilau Nature Resort. Time now is 7am...After registered our name at the registration counter, we were briefed by our mountain guide Yusry about the trail and safety guide. At 7.30am, we started our climb to the highest peak in South East Asia...
Crocker Range...I think it's the 'pondok' number 5, got around 3km more to reach the mid point Laban Rata. Shittt...here my leg cramped twice and it hurt like hell...Luckily I still can walk...What I can say about the climb is, every 100 metre felt like 1km...Oh my God, i felt like giving up...wargghhh
Reached Laban Rata around 3.30pm...Rest at the restaurant and had nasi goreng for lunch...Fooohhh...my legs hurt like hell and my body felt so weak...Dunno whether can continue the climb to the peak.
0.72 degree, at 1.30am...we're ready to climb to the peak...
See, we looked like burglar...it's so cold but I don't care, i still want to reach the peak...
Laguna Redang, Redang Island
Went there on 24 Feb 07, 3D2N stayed in Laguna Redang Resort. The resort is beautiful and the staffs were friendly and we had a great great time....
Stayed in Deluxe Room Garden. You can see the room is big and spacious with balcony.
We went to all 3 snorkeling trips and it's unforgetable. We even took picture underwater and fed the fishes. So, for you guys out there, come and have fun in Redang Island and book your holiday at Laguna Redang Resort. It's worth your money.
Best of Bandung
Located 180 kilometer southeast of Jakarta, Bandung is the capital city of West Java province. It takes only 2 hours by car from Jakarta via Cipularang highway. Or you can also take a three-hours train ride with nice mountain scenery.
I went to Jakarta and Bandung on 26 July 2007 till 29 July 2007. Arrived in Jakarta around 11am and a friend who stays there fetched us at the airport and took us around Jakarta. At 5pm, took van from travel company X-trans to Bandung, Rp60,000 per person. We arrived in Bandung at 7.30pm. We stayed in Royal Dago Hotel in Jl Dago. The hotel was nice and the staffs are friendly. There are lots of Factory Outlet along Jl Dago too, just walking diatance from our hotel. There are other hotel as well along Jl Dago which is quite affordable such as Patra Jasa, Karmila Hotel and Utari Hotel. People said that best Factory Outlets are in Jl Dago, Rumah Mode in Jl Setiabudhi and Heritage Factory Outlet in Jl Riau. But for me, the best FO is at Jn Dago and Rumah Mode.

Not to forget, the best shopping spree place for Muslim is Pasar Baru near the rail way station. Pasar Baru here is like Jln TAR in KL only that Pasar Baru is a shopping complex with about 5 to 6 level i think. They sells lots of cloths like lace, satin and sutera and it's cheaper than in KL. I bought French lace for RM80 per metre (well because my Indonesian friend is very good in bargaining). There are lots of Kebaya, Telekung, shoes and many more and if you go to Pasar Baru you may be spending about 3 hours here.
Best eating place that we go is Restoran Pak Chi Met in Jl Sukajadi. They serves Sundanese food and its delicious. We order a set of Ikan Gurame Bakar. The set is in big portion so we only order 1 set and add additional rice only. We also went to their shopping mall call Paris Van Java and Cihampelas Walk and enjoy their taste of JCo donut, the best donut I've ever eat, even better than Dunkin Donut.
Stayed in Bandung 3D2N, then on the last day we took train Argo Gede back to Jakarta. Price for the train is Rp60,000 per person for executive class. The good thing if you ride the train is that you can see the magnificent view of Indonesia such as their paddy fields. Well, I have a wonderfull time in Bandung and can't wait to come back because we don't have enough time to cover all Factory Outlet here...Last but not least, when you visit Bandung don't forget to buy Amanda Brownies and Kartika Sari Brownies because there are the best brownies I ever had.
